The Consumer Advocate is located within the Iowa Insurance Division. The Consumer Advocate can assist consumers in the areas of insurance, securities, and regulated industries. In conjunction with other areas of the Insurance Division, the goal of the Consumer Advocate is to achieve the consumers' best interests pursued through policy, outreach, complaint assistance, and administrative actions.

This fall, the Iowa Insurance Division will be hosting a series of town hall meetings across the state to assist Iowans in navigating the new Health Insurance Marketplace through the Affordable Care Act effective January 1, 2014.

Please register for a meeting near you to learn more about this important initiative and the impact it could have on you and members of your community. All meetings are free to attend and the opportunity to earn continuing education credits for participating is under development.

Health Insurance Marketplace and Affordable Care Act Webinars

The Iowa Insurance Division is pleased to announce that it will begin conducting a series of webinars designed to educate stakeholders in healthcare reform about changes in the law. The Division will primarily target four different types of groups: businesses, healthcare providers, insurance agents and brokers, and community based organizations. All webinars are free to attend and you may have the opportunity to earn continuing education credits for participating.
